  • So its 1.20/litre for regular and 1.40 for premium....

Here in Winnipeg. Whats the rest of the costs across canada there guys?
1.40 a fucking litre for premium ! WOW.
(americans, there are 3.75 Litres to a Gallon)
That means my talon which takes premium will now cost me 70- 80$ to fill the whole tank.

    Ok now its getting rediculous.

Not much that we can do or have a say in that is going to change gas prices. Really is pointless to bitch, As its pay or don't pay and walk. But I just didnt think it would hit this high as last week i filled at 1.08 per litre of premium..

You can still get it for under a buck here but you have to drive out of town. In the city it is 102.1 to 110.9

Just plain unavailable here in the podunk community I'm in. I hear there's spotty availability of it in the next town.

I'm driving 200 miles each way to my parents house and back over the weekend. I've got enough gas right now for about 300 miles, so I'll have to fill up at some point. I hope availability remains somewhat stable. I'd hate to not be able to come home due to not having fuel.

Its not longer podunk areas, Jon. Just got an email from work getting a list together for carpools because the gas line supplying NW Arkansas ran dry last night. It will only be a matter of time before all of the stations are out if they haven't gotten their tanks topped off prior to this mess...

Boy am I glad for my new job. The plant is less than 1 mile from my house. I could walk even on the cold days! I used to drive about 45 miles each way to work. I feel bad for all you guys that do still have to drive, though. I used to be at the pumps on Monday mornings and then again most Fridays also. I'd hate to be doing that now at $3.21/gallon.

You can make your own Diesel from French Fry grease. You probably know that. http://www.diyfuel.com/ $.70/gal.

I work at home so phew! Too bad my friends live 66 miles away though. I make the trip every weekend pretty much. Around here, nothing is that far, maybe 8 miles to the machine shop, 1 to the gas station, 3 to my bank, etc. Im about to break out the moped though, 80 mpg!

I'm looking at about $150-200 a week in gas which is basiclly 1/3 of my paycheck before taxes, whith absolutely no change of a rate increase to compensate for the higher gas fo rthe simlpe fact that the owner of the company doesn't drive so the raise in gas prices doesn't affect him as much. If they start to make it so you can only get gas on certain days according to your licence plate I'm fucked. I should find a shitbox to use for work.
I wish 10% of the people on the road knew how to drive

It was 101.4 at the pump at the Chevron on 64th and King George on Friday night. So I quickly filled up, but on my way to Whiterock, it was all 117 and higher. Ridiculous.

Except for Ben and his Moped. :P We all took a pay cut. Gas isn't going to get cheaper. New estimations from Wal-Street (My opinion of Wal-Mart), is to be $4/gal by years end. Time to get used to it?

How do you fight a thing like this? Can't really. Get a horse and become Amish.. (Horses come in 60deg.V6's?)

Randy! I catch you suckin' gas outa' my boat!, I'll kill ya, I swear to God I will!
Finally, Beer is cheaper than gas, but I can't go get any, 'cause I'm outa' gas!!

                        $3.19 now...

Beer? Gas? Beer? Gas?....(Walking to the store.)

its about 110.9/l were i am. went racing last night and put in 91 octane at 1.22/l.

what i realy dont understand is how gas price on the west coast of canada goes up 20 cents when we arent even effected by katrina. our oil comes from the west and is refined out here. and i agree, effectivly the people who drive to work have taken a pay cut. when i put my car on the road back in 2003, it cost me $25 tops to fill it, and now its about $40.

After my long weekend, gas prices back home in the middle of the state have actually tapered off. Stations that were charging $3.29 are down to $3.09 now. It's still cheaper to go to the no-name station up the road at $2.94 or the Exxon in town for $2.99

I haven't looked at gas prices up here in the mountains yet. Just got back here this evening.

ya last week prices went from 98 cents on monday, to 1.06 on tuesday to 1.24 on wednesday, and then 1.39 on friday. they have since dropped down to 1.28 (now that the long weekend is over) and I'm a delivery driver. it's ok though since our company added an extra dollar to our delivery charge "temporarily" I actually make more now thanks to my 2.3L SOHC delivery beater :P
