A few days ago, some a$$grape tried to break in the trunk of my lumina.
Like most of our cars, it's easy to pop the truck lock cylinder out, cause the metal plate holding it is thin, so quite some time ago, I replaced the lock cylinder with a HUGE Carriage bolt and a thick lock washer and nut on the inside, which prevented the punk from actually getting into my trunk. But the screwdriver marks are still there and there is some sheet metal damage. I'd like to find the punk and
And there's nothing really in my trunk besides a few tools in case of emergency. no amps, no subs. (haven't installed them yet, been lazy)
I bought a 16ga steel plate to weld inside the trunk behind the lock cylinder hole to prevent someone from punching through, and I'm going to fill the lock hole with Magnum Steel, and do the fiberglass/bondo/repaint thing. Do you think 16ga is strong enough to withstand another attack?
