Yeah, I read that... Interesting. In the article I read, it stated he was a presidential candidate in 88. Would he have called for assassinations as President?

Don't take the rantings of one lunatic and stereotype all Christians. The Bible does not take murder lightly, so I have no idea where this guy came from. He has had some fantastic quotes in the past also.

I was just reading that when I got sick to my stomach and came over here. that man is not a true christian, he's just one of the many scumbags that pose as people of religious faith. one of the many lies they feed us. Funny how the day after I find out how well off the Venezuelian people are oil wise, some righty christian freak wants to kill them. He must follow this website, cuz I was jokingly thinking the same thing.
one thing I got to say to him is "dude wait for the first lie to pass before you get us to steal more oil".

heard a funny joke on the radio yesterday thought I would share
Q: whats the only difference between Vietnam and Iraq?
A: Bush knew how to get out of vietnam
I wish 10% of the people on the road knew how to drive

Oh I don't. The problem I see is that the people who go off on wild rants like this are the ones that the lowest common demoninator listen to. Limbaugh, Robertson, Hannity, and other nut jobs have the ear of too many people. It's too bad more of them can't figure out what a bunch of crap it all is.

                  Famous Christians:

                  Judas (The 1st! Money Grubber)

Pat Robertson (Can't get in without MONEY!)

                  Jim Bakker (Joke boy)

                  Jim Jones (Dead)

                  Jim Swaggart (Should be dead)

                  Benny Hin (Acts dead)

                  And on..and on..and on..

Organized religion in America should have been banned long before prohibition.

Ron White said it best, "Are you naked, sitting in a BeanBag chair, eating Cheetos, do you want to send me a Thousand Dollars? For a minute, I thought he was talking about me!"

Bush joke sucked. Maybe funny 20 years from now.

No, religion is not to blame here. It is the people who exploit others using religion as a front to make personal gain. You stereotyping all Christians based on what some of these people say/do is just like people stereotyping all Republicans as Bush-loving-war-mongers (sp?).

People can have there religion, as long as they adhere to three basic rules:

                      1) You can't use religion as an excuse to stick your nose into political affairs, i.e. abortion, same-sex marriage, sex education, foreign policy

                      2) You can say you're a right-to-lifer and be in support of any war, the death penalty, or say you're in the moral majority. If I want contradiction and lies, I'll watch C-Span.

                      3) Keep your religion to yourself. A message from the Church of Jeebus Cripes of Ladder Day Satans.

Oh, and one other thing I'd had enough of is the one-sidedness of political attacks in this country. It's time we progrssives stood up for ourselves, so I may this to remind all the Bush followers who really keep this country running:

I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

                          2) Why can't you be a right-to-lifer, support wars and the death penalty, and still be a Christian? The Bible talks about wars and capital punishment and is not against either. Abortion is an entirely different topic that I don't even want to touch on because everyone believes something different and there is just no point in arguing.
Are you kidding me? It seems to me the right to life means you have the right to live. Wars kill, the death penalty kills. When you talk about right-to-life, you're talking about YOUR right to decide who gets to live and who gets to die. I'm sorry, I don't think the Bible says anywhere that you have that right. I believe that judgement is reserved for God and God alone, not to be exercised by you at all under penalty (or should I say scare tactic) of hell.

And when I say keep your religion to yourself, I mean don't you introduce your religious beliefs into my political ideology because your God says certain things are sins. The seperation of church and state is just that, and if my gay friend wants to marry his gay life partner, religion has got no business telling them they can't. You don't like it? Then stew in your own damn juices, but don't you force my goverment to say it can't be done because your God has a problem with it. Sorry, I didn't want to get that nasty, but you forced the issue.

So your religion is not against war or capital punishment. Well my religion is not against killing people because they have an e or a y in their name. Does that mean I get to kill you, just because my religion isn't against it?

So according to your theory OldskoolGP : If this had occured this is what you would have done... Say one or two of the terrorists who crashed the planes into the twin towers or the pentagon had survived. Even though they had slaughtered thousands of innocent Americans they didnt deserve to die because god didnt kill them in the ensuing fire? I would think that if one or two had survived, god might, just might have wanted us to make an example of the murderous bastards by putting them through a fair trial and then afterwards "humanly" killing them by either lethal injection or the gas chamber. I would rather see them shoved in a room full of starving pitt bulls myself. So instead of doing what i stated above you would have probably put them in some prison and cost the taxpayers even more money to support the bastard. Just because killing people is wrong. I strongly support the death penalty in most cases. Sometimes war is a necessity. I will definitally support any war, and serve in it gladly if my time were to come, against the murderous dicks who started this whole mess. And one more thing, the thing you said about all the one sided attacks in this country, I sure as hell hope that you wernt referring to republicans attacking democrats. B/C democrats will always outrank republicans in that segment so long as they have Ted Kennedy and Howard Dean. Sorry for the long post.
