Pitbulls are only vicious when they are raised that way. They only get the publicity because when they are raised to be killers, their powerful jaws make them very dangerous. If you find someone willing to take them I have a yellow lab that needs a home :-)

Man, I hate people like your inlaws, they listen to media hype.....

I'm not sure if you know, but Ontario is enforcing a (stupid) law that makes Pitbulls and ANYTHING that even looks like one illegal. Brantford (the city I reside in), already passed a bylaw back in April banning them from the City of Brantford.

Ontario made it nessisary to register all unregistered pitbulls (and staffs, or otherrelations) and found that after they were all registered, that Pits (and related families) were about 8th or 9th on avereage for attacks, I think it was still German Sheppards that were #1 for attacking. Yet, German sheppards are still allowed to roam without muzzles and don't require a "restricted dog lives on this premisis" sign posted on the front door. :roll eyes:

EVERY Pit, staff or related dogs have been very friendly, affectionate and posed no threat, just so you know, I'm not a dog person, I'm only recently starting to be a dog person.

I just see people in general as being stupid over this entire issue. If a pit can maul your daughter, so can a Chuawaha (or however you spell it), your cat, or any animal, in reality, it's just easier to stop a smaller animal from doing so.

Sappy has the best call so far....


Your inlaws have the potential to maul your daughter..better put them down.

Yeah, there are a couple things I would really like to say to them, but am trying to hold back...

One thing I found while searching the net for pitbull info was that Dauchsans (weener dogs) have documented mauling cases, and my inlaws own 2 of them.

Another thing is, how many deaths are related to kids and firearms? My inlaws have at least 1 gun cabinet and I don't think they keep it locked. Yet, my nephew practically lives at their house and runs around opening cabinets and such all day long. And he also goes around fake-shooting people. Yet I guess that's not an issue...
