  • The Price You Pay

Renewed my tags today. Granted, I did not have to do the asinine E Check crap, but!!, just because I have "Vanity Tags", I paid $90.50!!!! Normal tags are $34.00. It is simply for a F.....g sticker!!

Ohio is losing E Check, I guess they found a way to make up for the revenue loss.

Next year, RDNBLK, will turn into just another number. This is SO lame. Hey OHIO!!, you give out Vasoline with your A..-F.....gs?

    RE: The Price You Pay

Illinois is $85 for regular tags, so $90 for vanity is a deal IMO.

Damn, makes me appreciate NC and its $20 tag stickers. I'm not sure if custom tags are any higher here (I know they're higher initially, but I thought the stickers were the same).

            Ahhh.

Here a regular issue plate is like 35 bucks but you always keep your plates forever until they are damaged or un readable.

            Personal plates are about $100

I have yet to get tags here in Arkansas (although it is coming up in the next month or 2), but up in Kansas I know I paid around $75 a year for the Beretta and I think over $100 for the Blazer... And those are just regular tags. Vanity plates are above and beyond that!

american car related insurance and plates are all screwy...

Like Geoff said. We get plates and they stick with you unless for some reason they get fucked.

Oddly enough in Australia you can buy personalized rego plates and then sell them for top dollar. they go for anywhere between a few hundred $$'s to The craziest I've seen was 20grand for a fucking set of plates.

So guys will then order up plates with specifics and sit on them untill they sell to make $. Odd shit.

plus when you add another ride to your stable you pay the tags(sticker), title and tax(new or used) in Illinois. My wife just inherited a(groan) Escort and its going to cost $174 bucks to get it legal. Oh, and thats not including mandatory insurance either.
