  • New puppy

My mom has wanted a tiny little dog for many years. She said she is getting old and shouldnt wait too much longer when she has a dream. So she found a great breeder near by. I named him Bailey, he is an 8 week old Maltese pup. This is surely not a man's dog, not my cup of tea but still cute. I am looking to pick up a Golden Retriever pup for myself one of these days.

Cute, although not my cup of tea either. I'm still trying to convince the wife we need a big dog (retriever, lab, etc) although we really don't have the space for one right now. We did go to the pound the other day and looked at a few (they were closed). She went the next day to look while they were open and came home with a cat instead. She said when the time comes, I can pick out the dog (as long as its not too big). I was raised on big dogs, so going to a small one would be hard...

I'll have to get pics of my cat someday...

Yeah thats my taste. We have a 100+lb black lab that we look after, use to be my brother's dog. I have a soft spot for Goldens and my girl for Siberian Husky's......so we will have one of each when we buy a house.

The one my family has is terribly stupid and quite stinky. I much prefer smaller mutts.

He is a little shweetie! My wife has one. I have a full bred Timberwolf. I love my big animal, but you know, I kinda like hers too. Little critter can actually sit on my lap, and watch a movie, the big one can't. And they get along perfect. I'll see if I can get some pics.

cute indeed, I've got a med/large dog (27in to the shoulder and 80lbs) I wanted bigger and my wife wanted smaller so we kinda met in the middle.

Brad sorry to hear about the cat, they are sweet when alone, get 3-5 together and it's like a gang. I had these kittens rip the shit out of my carpets, tearing up my toilet paper, drapes and whatever. All were litter trained but I started finding wet spots and shit. whooo Hell hath no fury like a drunk sleezy guy sitting in cat piss. 3 of the original five were voted out of the house and I just got my females fixed so now they are all outdoor cats.

ya back to dogs, I still have my eye on one of these fellas

it's a mix between a black great dane, black lab, doberman pincher, and a straffordshire terrier (sp?)
I wish 10% of the people on the road knew how to drive

I actually like cats. I think I fucked mine up today though... Wife and daughter are visiting the grandparents, so I figured it was a good time to bug bomb the basement. Our basement is not accessible from the house (have to go outside, down the hill and through an exterior door), so I didn't even think about the it affecting the cat. Got home tonight after being gone for ~12 hrs and one of his eyes was draining puss. I'm guessing the basement isn't as isolated as I would have thought. He seems ok, still chipper as ever, and the draining seems to have gone down alot, but you can tell its still affecting him. So I might be taking him to the vet in the morning if it still looks bad then. Hopefully everything will be ok though.

On a side note, my dream dog is either a St. Bernard or Great Dane. Doubt I will ever get one though.

I was in the same boat about small dogs. My grandmother wanted a small dog, but of course I wanted a St. Bernard, german shepard, Newfoundland, Great Parenee's, etc (really big dogs). Ended up going puppy shopping, and I couldn't help but fall in love with this little Lhasapoo. Heck even my grandfather who was against getting another dog after someone let my Samoyed out (I believe it was the meter reader who did it) fell in love with AJ( the pup). Turns out though that this small dog ended up to be a little bigger then he was supped to get, is built pretty tough, and eats more then any dog I have ever had (and will eat anything including salads if he can get to it). Anyhow cute puppy Jameson and I wish your mom goodluck with him.

I have me an 8 year old Pomeranian ( is that spelled right ) lookin at me right now. My cousin has an 8 month old chocolet lab. That dog is freakin huge and a bitch to walk. I like the smaller dogs a little more than i like big dogs though because they can jump on your lap w/o considerable pain.
