  • FWd wheels and RWD wheels

So I was looking into getting some 18's and while looking at different wheels I noticed that there is a section for FWD and RWD.

what are the differences?, and could RWD wheels work on a FWD vehicle?
I don't just mean fit, I mean work reliably and safely

    thanks,
    matt

Backspacing is the biggest difference I know of. FWD wheels are always flush on the front, whereas RWD wheels have depth to them.

        Not to offend anyone...

You could, but with the offset spacing, the wheels would stick out and look like a mexican's ride... I like to call them big rollerskates.

I believe 4x4 truck wheels are the same as FWD, at least they look the same, so that might be an option.

well seeing that I am of Latin decent I am not offended and anyone who may be can suck it. well that sucks cuz that's not the look I'm going for. I was looking at the new Dodge Magnum R/T rims, I figured that would make good cheap replacements. oh well I'll look into 4x4 wheels see if I find anything I like .

            thanks for the replies

            bottoms up,
