  • thinking about making a switch

well i am almost done with this z34 i plan to sell. i was going to use the money to have the other 3.4 dohc engine built with some goodies for my other z34 but now i am thinking about getting a 4 cylinder car with the cash instead.

i will try to keep it gm but no guarentees. i will not scrap the 3.4 dohc stuff but just put it on backburner and spend the money for a 4 cylinder addition. any1 else had any similiar thoughts in light of the skyrocketing gas prices?

    $2.23 is just plain unreasonable.

RE: thinking about making a switch

no i still want a v8, Hemi or a LS1...as long as it has 4 doors so I guess that limits my choices, that and the fact that I have no money. I think the last time I got gas it was 2.51 a gallon. I honestly stopped looking at the price. either way i need it. Which reminds me of a story that was on the news a couple months ago, apparently a gas station in san francisco had 89 for 2.3x, 89 for 4.5x and 91 for like 5.5x. I guess a lot of people didn't look at the prices carefully and got fucked. cuz honestly ussually 89 is ten cents more than 87 and 91 is ten cents more that 89. but ya I still want a V8 and I will break into your house for the gas money
I wish 10% of the people on the road knew how to drive

I'm looking into a POS car, don't really care what engine is in it, just so I have something to drive and be able to do some work to the Beretta...

RE: thinking about making a switch

91 Octane here in Edmonton is $3.01/Gallon!!! (US equivalent)

So, I have put my SC idea to the back burner as well This car is my daily driver and I can't afford any drastic milage changes. So, I am still going to rebuild the engine, do the Exhaust, Intake, P&P, Chip and Ignition to try to make this bitch as efficient as possible.

But when I decide to buy another commutor, then I will go GTP crazy. Fucking oil companies!!

as long as its the all aluminum goodness of the ecotec. which in all actuality hardley makes a difference as the j's didnt actually lose much weight from losing the 2.4Q4 to the ecotec. i have a 88' ingtera rusting away you have it for free if you come get it. it even has a header, cat back, underdrive pulley, new torsion bars, and some other stuff still in boxes.
