  • would you guys hate me? (LS1 swap)

ive got a great offer for a built LS1 motor and built 4L60E (this combo ran a 10.4@ 128 mph on the jug) for around 3 grand from a friend

but that means i'll be abandoning the 660

i think im gonna be pretty hard stretched to get anywhere near that fast for that little money any other way

    please add your $.02

LS baby. Best engine on the market today. Aftermarket is insane for it too.

I concur with the LS1 swap I wish I could get one. I'd pop one in my Cutlass!

And as far as 60 degree, yeah it would suck to leave the game, but when I get the money come next year...sorry, I'm gonna probably ditch it too for something more powerful. A modded Northstar for me.

LS1!??? GO FOR IT. if u are hardcore 660 keep it and put it into a fiero or be the 1st to put it into a beretta or cavalier.

but to answer your question. on the contrary, i would respect you for making a swap like that work. if u do go through with it pm me and keep me posted .

ya I would hate you, but I'd be more pissed if you didn't get it. I'm sure most of us on this board (if not most definatly me) would love to have a LS powered vehicle. Buy it!!

Anybody who has ever driven an F-body with an LS1 would be crazy to recommend any other engine. The 660 is a great engine, but a large RWD car like this just begs for a V8. A built LS1 just makes the deal that much sweeter.

actually in the past few days ive been looking at the GTM again, so the 3.4L might stay around a bit longer as a daily driver till i get the $$ together to buy the kit/a wrecked vette

(cause i imagine that that car would make a sweet daily driver, if a corvette gets 18/28MPG and that car weighs 1000 or so pounds less.... (ahh there i go dreaming again)
