Ok I'm just hoping someone knows of a product that can help me out here.

I want to hook my computer (1/8" Mini Jack) to My home stereo (RCA)

I tried running an RCA cable, the run is about 30' but the power hum was unacceptable. Next I tried a wireless sender but that POS has so much interferance it was even worse (so much for 2.4Ghz crystal reception up to 300ft). I have to return the wireless sender (can you believe I wasted $170) and was thinking of trying a different 5.4Ghz one (at a cost of $190). but I am just not too confident in that route any more.

Is there anything that can gurentee me a good signal over a 30' Run. My sound card has a digital out and I was wondering if running a cable to a D/A converter by the amp and then using RCA's from it to the amp would work. If such a product exists.

Probably more than you will want to spend, especially for only a 30' run, but...

Take a 1/8" to RCA converter, then plug into the transmitter. Run your Cat-5 cable to the receiver, then RCAs to the amp.

Yeah, I saw that while browsing around. Although more expensive, I'd probably still go with the NAD one. But that's just me... I might actually get it then get rid of my CD player and DVD player and just run everything off the computer. Maybe even copy a couple of my favorite DVDs to the HD for instant access.

How about getting a wired/wireless Media player like this http://www.govideo.com/Index.asp?GV=D2740. This would solve your problem of streaming music from your computer to your receiver and let you watch porn on the big screen. Gateway also used to have a networked dvd player. You can go wired for a solid connection or wireless. It's a progressive scan DVD player and it only costs $150 - $200. Or try any of the other media servers. Ethernet cables are relatively inexpensive and can have runs of 100's of feet.

Hey, I have something to add here. I have to do a speaker installation where the speaker wires are going to be close to 100 feet long. They will be running at 25-50 watts, what guage wire should I use?
