  • Omigawsh I must have a motorcycle!

My friend Ben (not sappy, a guy here at WCU) has an '85 Honda CMX 250 that he's selling to somebody else here on campus. He took it down to one of the now-empty parking lots on campus to teach the guy how to ride it. The poor kid was awful nervous, couldn't figure out how to get it into neutral or how to turn. So Ben let me take it around the parking lot - first time I'd ever ridden a motorcycle.

    I must have one now.

Then the guy that's buying it rode it around some more, then apparently froze up and couldn't turn, couldn't stop, and ran it into a curb and dumped it over on himself. Nothing but a few scrapes, and the bike lost a mirror and damaged a turn signal. He's buying it anyway, he's already paid a deposit so Ben would hold it for him.

I think I should pick up a copy of the iwanna to see what cheap bikes are for sale.

RE: Omigawsh I must have a motorcycle!

i just got my license a few weeks ago, but untill i get a job in the GIS field i told myself im not going to buy one

i took a motorcycle rider saftey course thats offered here in illinois for free, and after i took it i got a card that allows for the test at the DMV to be waived and some insurance companies give you a discount on your insurance if you have it

http://www.msf-usa.org/ , check it out, it really helped me learn how to ride

That's free where you're at!? Damn, it's at least $100 here.

Here in PA the course is free and you walk out with your license. They're usually held at a local dealership, and they provide the bike to use and everything. 100% free.

take an MSF course.. they are available in almost every state in the US. They provide the motorcycle... people who will actually teach things and you will end up with a license in your hand as well as a good idea what to buy.. cruiser, dirt bike, sport bike, supersport, monster.

Umm, so all organ donors in your state eh? Always wear your gear.. it is the reason I am alive, and 7 of my friends aren't.
