    RE:

wtf, its a mustang with a bowtie. I know, its 07 and its probably not gonna look like that but still, that is identical to the mustang to my untrained eyes.

        LMAO!

Anyways...That car doesnt look a thing like a new Mustang. Looks like a new '68 Camaro. the same concept that ford and chrysler have been doing.

If its typical GM quality then I wouldnt want one. But if they pick up their socks and build something that isnt junk then it just might be the catalyst that GM needs to rekindle the love affair North America had with them.

GM has already killed that concept, it was supposed to be part of the Zeta platform which is no longer a thing

oh well. it looks good anyways. the only reason i want 86-94ish cars is they are easier for me to work on. not all had abs, and all that other fancy crap to die off. i'll just wriggle some new hadware into my old beater. no DIC, or HUD, or EBTCM or crap to replace or repair. one brian, one motor, and a stick. i suck with electronics.

Not true. Zeta in North America is gone. Austrialia is designing the cars now. Expect to see them in North America. GM is pretty much only going to be designing the Corvette and Trucks in North America in the future. It costs far less to build a car in one place and ship it around the world. Besides I think i would rather see Holden designing sports cars than GM North America. But at least they keep getting the Vette right.

And I think the car looks good! Very retro. But that is just my aged opinion.

Because Austrailians are motorsport nuts. Not like all the pussies over here. Everyone bitches because its too loud. Fuckin pussies in downtown Vancouver led to the cancelation of CART.

If Chevy does bring back the Camaro it will be built in canada. I think i read that in one of my motor trend magazines. If GM brought back the camaro would thay bring back the Firebird? I sure do miss those 2000 WS6's...

yea i read that long story about why gm killed off the f-body. basicly in the 90s the canadian govt bailed gm out, and in exchange they had to keep the camaro/firebird plant in canada till 2017. basicly if gm builds a car with either name and doesnt build it in canada, gm is gonna get sued for some huge pile of money that could be the end of them.

gm had plans to build several rwd cars for 2007, and they included the camaro, firebird, and buick gn. however, gm has killed off any thought of producing those cars or selling any new rwd car in north america. reason being gm does not beleive they can build a quality car for a comparable price to daimler chrysler and ford without loosing money on each unit.
