  • GAGT.com problems

Ok Im starting to get really annoyed and I cant log on to grandamgt.com anymore. Hell my internet doesnt even pick the site up. I talked to brad and he told me to email some guy about the problems, I did so and nothing has changed. So I dont know why I cant even load that site anymore. Im running a cable modem with a Linksys Wireless router if that matters.

Anyone got any clues on why it wont work anymore?

I know this doesnt pertain to this site but Im getting my 3400 in the next couple weeks and I need some info off of there.

    RE: GAGT.com problems

You need info off of GAGT? ROFL!!!

You haven't missed anything good since they swapped servers... Marty might be able to lend some insight since he was having the same problems.

If you still can't get on, try this:

In your Windows (or WINNT) folder, go to \system32\drivers\etc\, and open the 'hosts' file in a text editor. There should be the following line:

          127.0.0.1 localhost

Immediately after this line, add the following:
          72.36.161.98 www.grandamgt.com

I think there is a problem with the DNS servers updating after GAGT updated their server, and this entry will manually force your computer to the correct server. If this doesn't work, I don't know what the problem is.

Not as much fun as "Forced Entry", but you might try cliking a link.

That works great as long as the DNS servers have been updated, and will actually forward you to the site. I had to use the direct access method for 3-4 weeks before they got it fixed.
