Why do people threaten me?

This is a PM I got. I want to share this with all of you cause I don't allow people to threaten me.

There is where it really starts. I don't think I did anything wrong with posting what I did. I certainly didn't attack first but he decided to come after me anyway. Speedyguy is his name, and he is on here too just so he can PM me with threats I guess.

What sparked his threat was the germ/funky thread and their ported intake manifolds. Apparently I was supposed to let them be hostile and talk shit. Actually, its funny cause I believe this speedyguy was hostile and talking shit to me as well on grandamgt.com. This is what he sent me.

?You are too hostile to be posting on this site. I asked fair honest questions and you take offense and make a huge deal of it. I am not one to post on other sites about how poor the other companies are. Its not how I handle business and its not what im going to tolerate from others on this site. If you want to keep posting about your products, you can pay us advertising fees. This only deals with your business because you have attacked me on my own site. $50 a month to insult my company on this site, thats the fee.

Any more posts from either germ or funky and this thread is deleted. You can help the community all you want on here, but im not turning this site into a flame fest because I run a business now. I didn't tolerate this crap before, so now that the stakes are higher, im certainly not tolerating it now.?

You are such a hypocrite. You have gone out of your way in the recent past to harm the image of my product on another site. Now imagine if I didn?t care and crawled into the pit you came out of and started bashing your options and products on this site. (yes of course you would have to omit the option to control my posts). lol its going to get worse and you will find once you are actually trying to make a living or even offer a product alot of smug young punks will step up to tell you how it is. You will also find there motive is usually run by ignorance and a low self-esteem. That or they have a product they want to sell instead of yours. Ring a bell???

Remember what you say can have long reaching effects and you can also be held accountable for what you post publicly on the Internet. Don?t ever step into my posts and attack my product again and I wont bother you. You bother me I will bother you twice as much. Understand now!

I never wanted to sell his products, nor did I care about them once I knew the price. I had no intent of posting in his threads nor to him directly. I forgot all about him when he sent me this...guess he didnt forget about me. Heck, i don't sell throttlebodies on the site yet and he is coming after me! Hahaha, oh the joys of running a company on a public site:P

It works for me. Basically, brad and this guy got into it. Then I post about the FDP throttlebodies because they were mentioned, and I also mentioned that I was working on a redesign of the TBs as well as a new intake manifold down the road. He then told me I was playing catch up and whatever else. He took everything brad was saying and layed into me about it. This was well over a month ago, in april. I haven't talked to him, posted on GAGT once since then, nor remembered him at all when he sent me this PM yesterday.

He took everything as a threat to him, doesn't know who I am or what I am doing, and goes from there. He assumed quite a few things which lead him to his own opinion. That and called me a few different things as well. I have no use for the guy and couldn't care less. I just don't appreciate threats and with that, posted this.

Seems like he felt threatened that a couple people noticed that others were expressing disappointment in one of his products. Probably because both of you were from here, which has a store of its own. Don't really know. Some people are just paranoid and crazy.

I like to see some competetion out there, not only with Ben, but with all the other people making things. It's what drives businesses to make better products, and it's a good thing.

Being that I've known Ben for a long time now, I would definatly trust one of his products. You don't work with a specific kind of engine family for over a decade and not know what you are doing.

I support anyone who is trying to make some decent parts, and if they screw up and make a bad name for themselves, that's their fault. Maturaty and Professionalism is a huge factor in Business.

Nah, I have too much going on to be bothered by this guy like that. He is the one that has the problems, not me, so he can come to my shop and discuss things face to face if he really feels the need. However, his perspective is clouded by being an idiot, or some drugs...not sure really. I honestly don't know what his problem is. I can't find any proof that I attacked his product other than selling products and working on making products. Thats called competition, its america, we do that kind of thing here. I didn't say his throttlebodies were junk or anything...cause hell, i haven't seen them. I didn't call him names either...thats all him.

Im just waiting to see if he has the balls (or ignorance) to reply. He has nothing to stand on and I am sure everyone that has read the thread can see that I didn't start shit with him. All he has done is motivate brad into doing a CAD drawing:P

I don't mind not having the aftermarket, I enjoy having something to work on. and thanks to the lack of aftermarket I'm learning how to weld and am being way more hands on when it comes to my car.
