  • How much would this service manual sell for?

I work at National Car Rental in Montgomery. Thursday they were cleaning out the offices and came across some GM car Service manuals. They were brand new. Authorised by GM and came with three books per car. I only got to save one set. They threw the others away. The set i found was for a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina or Monte Carlo. How much could these sell on ebay for. Again, they are authorised by GM and are Brand new. Please give me some info. Thanks

www.helminc.com was the original publisher and they still sell them. So see what they are worth for the set new.

I dont think they published it. It says published by"North American Operations. GM Cormporation.Warren MI" I think that it might have been a service manual that GM might have sent to all of its Chevy Dealerships. I will try to find my Digital Camera later tonight and put up some pics. Thanks for the help.

They were all printed by Helm Inc. Gm is not in the buisness of publishing books.

I have a 3-vol set for my Beretta that I picked up off ebay for like $40. But everytime I go to look for a set for my 98 Blazer, they always go for AT LEAST $60. So I'd say you could probably get at least $50 out of them, but there's a good chance you'll get more.

I bought all the manuals for my Cutlass and a parts list. All totaled about 100 bux. For those you should get between 50 and 75. Nice steal!!

I am kinda pissed about it though. They had them for Sunfires, cutlasses, cavaliers, blazers, etc. I didnt think of keeping them untill it was too late. Thanks for the replies.

Helms was selling brand new service manuals for $30. Atleast that is how much I paid for my 1995 Grand Prix books.

Over $12K invested, and still its slow. Maybe thats because thats most all repairs. Don\'t knock the engine though, because thats the only part that has seemed to last.
