Short road trip today. Came upon this. This guy was escorted by 6 Ohio Hiway Patrols. (3 in front and 3 in back) Had 2 escort trucks measuring overheads about 10 miles in front. So tall, he had to get off at every exit and get back on. Looked to be about 18' tall. So wide, as you can see, he is on the shoulder and across my lane! Maybe 20' wide. Speed was 25 MPH. Truck has 20 axles on trailer alone! Plus 3 drive axles and 2 steering tires. 94 tires in all. (I'd like to have the money/mile he is making.) Permits must have cost a ton! Don't know what it is, but it damn sure ain't a load of onions.

It is about the size of my new Beer Cooler! I'm thinking some massive power transformer. (Not the cartoon kind.) Going by axle weight limits, I figure at 36,000 lbs per 2 axle set = 180 tons.If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

I would hate to see the cost of replacing those tires!
