like 100 watts a peice? i had some 100 watt off road lamps that would start smoking if i wasn't moving. im not sure thats a good idea, youd only have to upgrade the wires from the relays, depending what vehile you have, that could be easy or sort of tight. wouldnt 100 watt be illegal for street use anyways?

You'd get more intensity from a high output LED array at the fraction of the power.

It can be done, just not legally. They do sell upgraded wireing harness' to handle the added load so if your good with a soldering gun.... The max legal light you can have in the US is 55watt low/ 65 watt hi. The biggest problem you'll run into is heat, it WILL dry out your brezels and crack the. Of course if you have a good supply, this wont matter. Also, other drivers will think your an ass trying to blind them by driving with your hi beams on. And "some" highway patrols carry light meters in their cars so take your chances.
Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance

It isn't safe to run 100 watts period. Unless you like watching others drive crazy. Or X-Raying deer. You will have more problems than it is worth.

                RE: Re: 100 watt lights

In certain cases you can run a 65w low beam, but that's very limited (The hella 90mm projector units i have in my beretta use 65w H9 bulbs)
