With the rollout of the next generation full-size trucks, GM will be revamping its Vortec 6000 engine. The new 6.0L will produce 400HP and 400lb/ft of torque (strangely similar to the LS2, no?). The 6.0L will be in the next generation of Cadillac Escalade, EXT, ESV, GMC Yukon Denali, Denali XL, GMC Sierra Denali and Chevrolet Silverado SS Supercharged.

I still wish they would have used a high performance big block. Everyone knows they have the parts to make an easy 500 or 600 HP BBC with no challenge. But a supercharger will satisfy anyone who wants a fast truck. At least then you can modify the supercharger along with the engine.

From what I've been reading GM's guaranteeing under 2900lbs.
