Why does it seem that this happens at least once a year nowadays? And that's just like the killings that actually happen at school. It doesn't include the plots that have failed, or the stories of kids just bringing weapons to school without a plot. Or the other misc shootings that happen outside of school. Its stuff like this that scares me while I try to raise my daughter. I'm sure when my parents moved and were looking for a school for me and my sister, they were looking at the quality of the education. Now, its more of do the school have good security, do they have to go through metal detectors every morning, etc...

And if its not violence in schools, its modding a car to look like ass. All because of "The Fast and The Furious"...

i just figure the worlds still turning, and i'm still standing, so everything is ok. alot of people cant manage thier emotions right, my brothers wont hesistate to hit anyone, alot of people just yell when anything becomes too much. if there wasnt so much crap in general then there wouldn't be crap to fight over, so its mankinds fault, we sort of brought it on ourselves. people piss each other off for fun, i do, but in anon-physical manner. there is too many people in one place, and if noah really did build an ark, i guess we are all just inbreed to the point of no return.

kids just need to learn to suck it up. everyone goes through exactly the same situations that they have, just they aren't panzy asses and they suck it up. Just teach your kids to be tough, and that no one else can touch your personality or character, your reputation maybe, anything else, no.

This is a completely unrelated thing, but i think aaron lewis (staind) puts it best in "Waste":

2 things on the rise are school shootings, or just plain old bullying, and suicides. Suicides are the second leading cause of death next to car accidents in teens here in canada. And i know a few friends who have attempted it, and others who have thought about it (most of them to be honest), i haven't a lost a friend to suicide, and i dont intend on that ever happening.

EDIT: and to add to my long winded post after reading the death machine thing: This weekend my friend sarah got stuck in a snowbank, and she put on her fourways a van pulled in front and put its 4 ways on and got out to help her get unstuck, she started getting out of her car when another car slammed into the rear of her car. The door closed on her face and she lost all the teeth on the left side of her face and she has a huge scar going from her lip to her ear. Needless to say that dumbf*ck driver is lucky i wasn't there... like christ, what do you think 4 ways mean, speed up since its probably not icy since there is a car in the snowbank?

I also agree about the reckless driving thing.

I, unfortunately, have lost a couple friend to suicide. It sucks. And my wife attempted it when she was a teenager. I don't really know the circumstances about it (cause I don't like talking about it), but there are times when she starts to get depressed that I worry about her contemplating it again. I hope she realizes that she has too much to live for now (her daughter and myself) that it wouldn't be worth it.

Suicide is so hard to understand. There is almost nothing in this world that justifies killing yourself (under normal circumstances). Money, getting dumped or cheated on, or even losing a loved one, are not good reasons.

To tell the truth, I get scared behind the wheel! I don't really know why, but when you see the kind of things that happen to you, and how easy it is to die, you get freaked out. I love to drive, but on freeway's ect. I get scared. I usually travel with my girlfriend too, and if something were to happen to her, it's my reponsibility no matter who's fault. Life is precious.

Heres my drunken two cents. When I was growing up none of this shit happened. Period. You went to school you went with RESPECT of your teachers. Have ANY of you folks actually visited your kids schools lately? I sure the fuck have and every time I go to school with my kids( yeah you read that right) I cannot believe what I see. Shit I or any of the local hoods or trouble makers wouldnt have dreamed of back then happens if not on a daily basis then weekly. And this is in a town of 11000. The difference I see? The teachers cannot give swats and in alot of cases are afraid of giving the dreaded time out(scares the hell out of me) because the parent(s) will be crying bloody hell to the principle or the school board that it wasnt there precious kid! Or hell give the kid a after school detension. I remember these just really bothering me. Ha Ha. What bothered me was when the old man showed up from work. Now there is something you WILL respect. These types of shootings have increased as gun availability has decreased. Guns were much more available to a kid 30 years ago. At least in my life(maybe not yours). I think if schools would allow these teachers to take controll of their classes(they dont have that now) we would see an improvement in education and the well being of our society. ive pondered suicide often, rag me for it. Its more or less a sum of things than one that opens that door. 90% of the time its depresion, which runs rampant, sometimes its anger. for me its my family, people i work with, the entire world being stupid, just a bunch of small things that make me think, "why the hell should i wait through all this BS, just to die anyways? i can save myself the mental/emotional torment, with the pull of trigger, its all gone." I have zero respect for my family since my parents think they still own me, and the desicions i make for myself are absolutley ludicris, not to mention dads side of the family is ethnic, so they live in an almost 3rd world fashon, right here in america, leaves me thinking "Why did you come here? are you retarded?" then at work, its abunch of loser waitresses and bussers tht play stupid, every minute they are there. Why cant i get away with pretending to be a retard? its ther first day everyday. Then i have bush jumping into the middle east trying to live out "Sum of all fears" with the arabs so now i get to wonder if dayton air force base suddely dissapears in a flash, its like a 30min drive from me, will my skin melt off? when all the idiot lights go on and off in my 6 yo 75,000mile transam, i see my credit card bills, hear people going of on each other, stupid things, but everyone of them is a tiny little hammer blow to my mind. Sometimes i wonder if i could justify taking out stupid people as an act of saving mankind, like eliminating the stupid gene from the gene pool.

i think kids need spankings.......................I know i ever did anything wrong or disrespected my parents they would literaly beat my ass with anything they could find fan belt, water hose, stick, switch, belt , shoe, ect... thats some of the things i remember.

most of us dont think anymore. personaly i dont like conflict, so i dont do anythign to bring it my way. and if it does, there isnt any rules in fighting, that would make it wrestling, so anything goes, except murder. even crippling the other guy for life, whatever gets him away from me the fastest.

Exactly. I also try to aviod getting in trouble. I'm definalty not the fighting type, and realy not able to fight that well against someone twice my size.

But if it comes to my girlfriend or my family being in harms way, I'll definatly fight.
