As stated above, we jumped to $2.13 for 87, and it goes in increments of $0.10 around here. So premium is now at $2.33

for whatever odd reason, the difference here between 87 and 89 octane can be as much as 20 cents! Yet from 89 to 93 will be like....6? Needless to say, 89 octane does NOT sell.

Ready for prices to go up once again? I'm sure the refinery explosion that happened today in Texas won't help things out. The explosion occurred "where the octane of gasoline is raised". It was a BP refinery. So, from the pictures I saw, that refinery won't be boosting octane levels anytime in the near future. I'm sure that will have an effect on BP's gas prices at least, if not everyone else since they'll have to increase their capabilities to make up for the BP refinery not having any output...

yup we're close to a refinery but that doesn't help much, and yes we do own an SUV but we really need it with the 2 kids and all the stuff they require not to mention if we want to bring a grandparent with us. the cheap stuff is $2.77 and the 91 is $3.09.

how the hell does Venezuela get gas that cheap?

they have their own oil, and their own refineries is my guess

Yep. Next to the Middle East, Venezuela is one of the biggest producers of oil in the world.

Its not listed on there, but I heard on the radio the other day that gas is like $0.05 in Iraq. Could be alittle off, but looking at the prices there, I'm sure its around the Kuwait prices.

For the pot-heads, Amsterdam may not look as nice anymore..
