Need to know of anyone who has gotten a ticket on federal land and did it affect your car insurance?

I got an open liquor ticket on a federal wild life refuge. Some people say that since its a federal ticket the insurance company will never see it as they only check state records.

Nobody "checks" records. The state or other government department informs the insurance company. You still have to pay the Magestrate or JP, right? It doesn't matter who gave you the ticket. If it goes through the court system, part of the procedure is to inform your insurance company. Were you driving at the time? Were you even in your car? If it doesn't involve an actual moving violation, don't sweat it. The insurance company doesn't care if your a drunk, just as long as your not driving.
