got my 3.4 dohc for my camaro

  • got my 3.4 dohc for my camaro

    came out of a 94 lumina z34, with 157,xxx miles, gonna put it on an engine stand and tear her down, make sure evrythings is in good order before I put it in the camaro.
    I'll get some pics of it tomarrow,cheep camera dosn't take good pics at night

              hey hey hey, can you do me a quick favor and give me some quick dimensions of the engine, it'd be a really big help, i'm 2 states away from mine and i'm trying to figure something out.

                holy crap that engine is dirty, i suggest alot of new gaskets.

                  i took measurements once, and wrote them down. These are approx dimensions. 26.75" timing cover to tip of throttlebody. 28" to fuel line connector end. 25.5" front exhaust to EGR tube. 26.5" bottom of oil pan to plenum top. If someone can verify or correct these, that would be nice.

                        I'm gonna atleast tear it down to the shortblock, to make sure evrything is a ok

                            my measurements came very close to sappys', the dohc is 1 in taller and 6 in wider(at the valve covers) than the l32

                              Do either of you have pictures of any Camaros/F-Bodies with a 3.4 DOHC swapped in? I'm curious as to how much room(should be plenty) there is with it in the engine bay. Lately, I've been thinking about getting a late 80's/early 90's F-body to swap my 3.4 into(instead of using a Volvo...<---twas my original plan).

                              My 0 mile crate motor(less intakes/etc....I have those though) is doomed to wait around for a while longer.
