Just out of curiousity, wasnt there like some way to take a caddy 4.9 and add twin turbos and make something like 800hp? I seem to remember something about that but am not for certain. Either way, if that was obtainable it would be really frikken sick!

I like the idea of the 3400 and then put a turbo on it but it doesnt seem like it would be that fast....i havent seen many cars on this site break 100mph in the 1/4 mile.....but i see tons of turbo neons getting like 110mph in the 1/4....something else bugging me....when you get to like 300 or 400 HP im assuming the axle has to give out some time....how do you overcome that? jw.

you need to look around other sites.

i've personally done a 14.0 @ 106mph with a very cheap turbo setup, stock tranny with 190,000 miles on it, a very badly cracked crossover for the turbo, and not tuned very well.

im expecting 12's at 110mph+ this season. stock 3400 block, ported and polished heads/intakes/tb, LS1 springs, 4000 stall TC, and a fresh tranny.

there are also quite a few other s/c and turbo 3400's running just above the 100mph mark for a 1/4 run.
