i use mobil 1 sythetic in my car... and always have. i was watching the tv the other day and i saw a commercial for new synthetic oil.. 3 different types. one type good for 5000 miles another for 7500 miles and another for a freeken 15000 miles... :wtf1: i went to walmart today and i was looking at the prices for the synthetic i buy and the 15000 mile syn and there is a dollar and change difference between to the two... at that moment my jaw dropped... right now i change my oil around every 5000k i probably could go longer... i have all highway miles from going back and forth from school. right now i have 4000 miled on this oil change and the oil is just starting to get a dark color to it... i would say a medium straw color. okay back to the topic... what do you guys think of this crazy oil. i think im going to give it a whirl when i change my oil in a few weeks over easter break... i will let you guys know what its like... i doubt i would be able to notice a difference... its all about how well the oil resists chemical and thermal breakdown... i figure i would leave it in till 10000 and change it. so what is everyones take on this?

RE: New Mobil 1
Well, it seems like they still cant keep up w/ Amsoil who now allows up to 25k or 1yr.
IMO, you should still follow the manufactures Intervals, if not do it more often. I change mine every 1500-2500. When I had my DOHC it was w/ Synth...I just used regular Dino in my Camaro, Sedan and now in my S-10.67 Olds Cutlass 2bbl 330 w/ 2 speed Jetaway
