Side Mirror Question

My drivers side mirror isn't working quite right. The mirror goes from left to right, but not from top to bottom.... So i took the mirror off and looked at the motor inside. And noticed that the motor going from left to right was working, but the motor going from top to bottom isn't. Now its one unit in there with about 4 wires or so.

Am I able to buy a new motor and swap out the old one? or do i buy the whole shabang?

note: the motor that goes from top to bottom barely moves for like 1/10 of a second and stops right away.

If that is the same unit as a 94 Cutty, I have one. Complete except for glass and backing plate. Motor should be the same? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Free, you pay shipping. If the motor is the same, I'll pull it. Makes shipping cheaper. Shoot me a PM if you want it.

Not sure what vechile you have .. but is it possible the mirror switch on doorpanel is fried ?
