  • Help, what is this part?

Well im a newb. Whats this part? Ive never seen one before Ive had 2 mechanics tell me they dont know what it is. It was mounted on the back of my plenum on my 3.1 Nobody has seen one so I came here for help. It didnt have anything hooked up to it. It seems to have a one way valve for 2 hoses and a sensor plug in. It is made by Delco Remy and has a small red sticker dot on it. It hasthe numbers DR203;8301 2;The backside has a 5 on it and one of the hose connectors say CAN around it...is it made in canada or does it run to my canister? Any help guys?

Mechanics don't know what it is?? Geez, I don't I would go to them for repairs...

And be careful of those plastic tabs on those man. I've found that they break easily.

The MAP sensor attaches to the other side of that bracket.

Where should it hook up at? I looked tonight at the cannister under my coolant tank and theres a sensor on it with a hose and a hole for a hose that says air...it has a cap over it though; I looked at every wire, hose and sensor, nothing is unplugged that i noticed. What exactly does this part do? What should it cause not having hooked up? The car originally had a 2.8 in it would that have to do with anything? I have no idea on this guys so please help me the best ya can. Thanks alot for the help so far guys, I really appreciate it.
