Truck is at the body shop......

Well, after an awesome weekend of GoKart drifting, Kurt dropped me off by my truck in CT, and I headed out. I got about 30 miles out towards home, I'm in the middle lane, the right lane is snow and ice. Before I know anything the truck is whipped sideways towards center median, I counter steer and the truck whips really hard towards the right hand barrier....... I assume crash (total cringe) position, and I nail the barrier with the front end of the truck, the truck swings back and i nail the back end to.... I don't remember any of that part, but thats what it looks like.... I cracked my head against the seatbelt bracket so that knocked me out a bit.... I call 911, they never sent anyone.... I'm not able to get out of my truck, but i'm able to flag down a salt spreader and they call the cops... Moments later I'm on a back board and off to the hospital. They stiched me up and gave me breakfast.... Went to go check out my truck, its really f'd up.... (sorry no pictures) I had it towed down to the body shop and they're going to give an estimate for the insurance company, I think they just might total it at this point... So yeah, I'm back to work today, no one can believe I actually came to work today... I look like a mess, oh well.... Other then that, I'm not really to bad, we'll see what the insurance will do for me.

wow! that sucks! Last year I left the house maybe 3 times in the winter....and I wish I was able to do that again this year. Get some pics when you can, but you knew that already:P

That sucks that the police didn't do anything when you called. How long were you waiting there?

the police didn't come for like 10-15 minutes, after the plow truck stopped they were there with in secounds. The policemen was dick, he didn't check to see how I was, he asked me some questions, and wrote me a ticket for "failure to maintain lane"

yeah thats one thing i learned, cops sure like to kick you in the nuts when your down.
