My email account was hacked by someone in florida. I no longer have control over the account, its a yahoo account and one that I have used for 6 years. I found out a hacker group named http://www.the-fro-network.net/ hacked my account. The worst part is I found out after people called me saying they got weird emails from me. I have some strong leads as to who did this but no real plan for resolution. I have a yahoo phone number, but little to go on other than that at the moment. Anybody ever been through this before? Do I have any legal right to my email account being stolen? I did use the email for business including ebay and I am very worried about becoming a victim even further.

RE: Need suggestions on My hacked email account
I had my Hotmail account hacked about 1 1/2 yrs ago. They also gained access to my PayPal account and withdrew $2000+ (damn overdraft protection!!). I ended up getting the money back (after like 2 months). The best (I guess) thing about it is the guy emailed me from my account telling me he hacked it and felt bad. WTF is that about?!?!? All I did was rack it up as experience and change all the info in pretty much all of my Internet access (bank accounts, email, ebay, etc) so just in case they got ahold of some info they could use later. As far as legal rights to email, I really doubt it. I had an issue with Yahoo this past year and they were far from helpful about the whole thing.-Brad-

I am worried because my bank account uses that email along with many contacts and correspondants.1992 Chevrolet S10
