My car hasn't been washed in 2 months cause it hasn't been above -40 in that long. It's blizzarding outside at the moment, hopefully a snow day tmorrow!!! but with no w-body.com forums to read, i might as well just go kill myself.

i miss the site myself, however it really irritated me that shawn for all practical purposes refuses to update the site, it has the potiental to be so great, but there it sits, last updates almost 3 years ago.

Well, leave it to the W-Body forum going down for me to find this forum again! I haven't been over here since GMForums went down and this site went independent (I even had to update my profile )
I notice that a few of you guys made it over here as well (How's the "Mexi Power Stripe of Doom Loomie," GP1138?!? )
I like the new layout here. Still seems waaaaay more laid back than W, though. W's been crazy lately with a huge influx of newbies (mostly teenagers with poor grammar.) I find myself giving out more advice to the "youngsters" than anything lately.
Well, thought I'd drop by and say hey seeing as I'm not the only one impatiently waiting for W-Body to go back up . Maybe I'll drop back in in another year (or the next time W-Body goes down...)
i love the site but sometimes when i look in "powertrain" and all i see are people who want to build "Cold air intakes" and "ram air stetups" it makes me feel dumber.

At least they didn't give you shit like they did me when I was asking about building up a 3100 (this was before I knew about this site).
Needless to say, Shawn got pissed at me, I got pissed at him, and he banned me. Talk about letting someone have their own opinion.
Personally, I could care less if the site came back up, but I do have to admit that every once in a while, I would go there and read the locked threads. Those were usually the best ones.

"find something simple and complicate it"
You know how I feel about that prick and his B/S good for nothing worthless site. Good I hope it stays down. Like the 3800, its getting the axe. If it comes back up I'll drive over his friggen computer. He'd better watch his hands.

Well now that we have no W-body, let's NOT let this site become that. Maybe one thread, but not the forum. The site was great, but this site is great for other, better IMO, reasons.
I don't think this site has much to worry about. If it comes down to it, ill create a general discussion section and turn off topic into almost anything goes. That and we don't have turby here to confuse everyone with the rules, or randomly temp ban people. We also update the site and don't refuse to accept help from others. I see nothing in common with w-body actually...other than we are on the internet and have a forum:P

Good. And Thank God Turby won't me modderating here, his monthly's are just getting a little too power surgy for me.
Ok...i was hoping you were gonna include that we are looking for donations to get a 2 year setup. Donating members will get their own section on the photo gallery and an email address if they want. I have 2 people already for moderators along with the obvious admins.
This is going to be an updated version of w-body.com since shawn has expressed to me that he has no interest in doing any amount of work to his site beyond keeping it going at its current condition. I know a few people are willing to help us out with articles, specificiation, walkthroughs, etc.
The setup will be similar to 60V6.com, cause its what I know and its super simple to setup a brand new site for the layout we want. Members will be able to add links, articles, and comments easily. I hope everyone helps us create a thorough and dedicated site. I will be helping with the setup and information, but Matt will be running the site as I have my hands full with 60V6 and my store/business.
We haven't thought of a setup for donations, as far as donating members extra priveledges. I think $20 now should give anyone 2 years worth of extras. Please post your thoughts. Since I will be paying for all this, you can send donations to sappyse107@60degreev6.com (through paypal) or email me for an address to send a check or food stamps or whatever.
Hey, sorry about posting this here, but I'm not signed up at the other board.
As far as helping out with putting together an all new W-Body site/forum, count me in! I'll send some money your way today or tomorrow. Seeing as I was the resident expert on the 94-Up (Gen 1 & 1.5) steering column, I'd be willing to pass along my write-ups (signal switch replacement and VATS bypass) if you guys are putting together a site similar in layout to this one. Any help I can give, I'm willing to share my knowledge of GM's.
Thanks and keep us posted on the progress of the all new W-Body forum!
