i saw it a while back on some spy shots for the movie and i was taken back by it. the comics, the cartoons series, the first set of movies...it was all made it to be a super low slung super fast agile crime fighting machine. this thing...it's...it's super long and long but it looks like it got crossed with a muddin truck...it looks slow and fugly. i don't like it but i think that the rest of the movie is going to rock.

Everyone knows the first one with the missle shooting fender flares and dual tail fins was the best. Plus it was turbine powered (i know it was not in reality)

didn't he have a Trans Am for a while? I think thats how he met Jason Todd, when he stole the batmobile.

i believe the first batmobile from the original TV series was an Oldsmobile Cutlass...or at least i know it was an Olds of some kind.

I drove up to quicktrip in my 1991 cutlass supreme, and the pump attendant came over the intercom and said "Pump 23, the batmobile, see you inside for payment". personally, my cutlass looks TONS better than this...paper maché redneck lowered monster truck with a gaping asshole.

Oddly enough a guy that lives down my street/my cousins friend has a Black 95 trans Am, lowered etc. with a big red batmobile logo on the hood and a big batmobile style spoiler. Needless to say its funny watching a 95 Red trans am beating the batmobile, and then getting away while batman gets pulled over and given a hefty ticket for street racing... mwahaha.

EDIT****: ^^ thats not odd, i forgot something haha, the guys name with the batmobile is Jason Stang, and he used to have a 93 black 5.0 coupe stang with big meats on the back (very nice)... the guy is a living pun...

new batmobile... wtf... whats wrong in the world these days...

The batmobile from the Batman series in teh 60s was not an Oldsmobile, it was actually a Ford, a Ford concept car at that. Refered to as the Furtura. George Barris ended up buying it from Ford and making some changes to make it into the Batmobile.

I was wrong it was what appears to be a Countach and he only stole the tires...typical underacheiver.
