  • I'm Scared...

Have you ever wondered why people need 6 TV screens on their dash??
And now companies want to broadcast movies into cars on the road!! WTF! I don't know if I want to be on the roads anymore! I know we already have people with TV's in there cars, but it's scary thinking that more people will be watching TV instead of watching the roads. The roads are getting scary enough already.

    RE: I

I have not looked into it, but I have heard that here in Texas, it is illegal to have a TV in the car where the driver can see it. The only think close to what they CAN have is a navigation screen.

I had a friend that got in trouble for having screens in the sunvisors on his Lexus. The cops gave him a BIG ticket. He thinks they just did that cause he was watching a gay porn.

      RE: I

Its not only in Texas. But actually, you can have it in view of the driver, but there needs to be a switch hooked to the shifter that whenever the car is out of park (not sure what it is for a manual... neutral?), it turns the TV in view of the driver off. Of course, there are always ways around that, and who really follows those rules anyway?

In Ohio, it is only legal to have a TV mounted on the rearview mirror. And it can only be activated when the car is in reverse. Most people don't have them because the extension cord needed is usually too short. Also, the dish keeps blowing off the top of the car.
