  • FE3 Question

By the way, could someone tell me what is special about the FE3 as apposed to other Cutlasses???

  • #2
FE3 is the sport tuned suspension while all the other Cutlasses have FE1 comfort, roll in the curves, plain jane suspension.

FE3 is stiffer front springs, stiffer rear leaf, bigger front and rear sway bars.

440-t4 which is essentially what the 4t60 is.

The FE3 gives you a rear sway bar whereas FE1 you get nothing. Front bar is 30mm solid, front springs are a hair lower, stiffer. Rear has a more solid "auxiliary" spring vs the figure-8-shaped FE1. That about covers it.

Want to note that later FE1 cars, e.g. my old 92 GP had a smaller (12mm) rear sway bar, as opposed to the larger FE3 (14mm) rear sway bar

BOULDERDASH!!! Must be a pontiac-bonus. My sis's '93 CS Sedan has FE1 and no rear swaybar. Again, Pontiac/Bonus. Just like if you get FE1 on a Lumina, you get no FRONT swaybar, and cheesecake for a rear monoleaf. LOL
