The iron head Impala SS and Caprice had 260hp. The 93-95 LT1 had 275. From 96-97, it made 285. Then in 98 they went to the LS1 platform, which made 305hp. This was the output until their demise, with the SS Camaro having 325, 335 with the factory installed SLP options (Most SS's had these).

They would probably clear your cold air intake. They run pretty low, about a half inch clearence bewteen them and my tranny. They are made to run in the same way that the stock crossover does. But the 96 intake arm dips a little low, but I think it would clear. Where the factory airbox runs into a problem is at the front of the car, one of my runners there curves around to gain length. Also the factory airbox sits too low. You would need to cuz my flange off and have another welded on. It'd take a lot of work, but you could make them fit. But I don't know about the rear set clearing the auto tranny...

I am going to 3.4L TDC Fiero this summer and am looking very specifically at 88GT 5-speeds.

I will give it to you, the z sounds mean. what did you do to the exhaust?

Thanks! The exhaust really doesn't sound all that great becuz of the headers, but the engine noise that you hear does. I don't know what caused it, but the CAI helped a lot, and I'm sure the other mods making the motor breathe well did too.

The exhaust is equal length headers, dual 2.25" collectors and downpipes, collecting into a 2.5" that runs all the way back, through a Magnaflow resonator, cat, and Y's into dual 2.25" pipes that run through the Magnaflow straight through muffs.

I actually sold the car...kinda. I have a buyer, and his downpayment will be here within the next week. But if it falls through, I'll give ya a holler. btw I already have an extra stock Z34 exhaust for it if I decide to sell it stock.
