          All anyone needs to back up substantial claims of glorious horsepower is a run down the 1/4 with a printout (so racing to the railway tracks from a stoplight does not count).

          But In this case I think we wll require a printout and proof that it is real. So we will need a picture of the slip with a penny in the top right heads up on the hood of the car.

                                hmmm. 300 hp? i want to see a dyno sheet on that. my intention isn't to "bash" you but if it does make 300 horses, then i know what direction i might need to take on mine then.

                                but this is conjecture but, i think you would have a better chance at beating the talon at higher alt instead of lower b/c he has forced induction and it would be forcing in denser air. i could be wrong though.

                                i don't see your z handling a lt-1. i don't remember the tq but the hp is 295 perhaps 325 like the other guy says. the only way u could hand it to him is if it couldn't hook which is plausible. from a rolling(20mph) start that camaro/bird would show your z who the perverbial "daddy" is.

                                i thought firebirds/camaros were closer to 3600 lbs?

                                i agree with every1 else on the fuel injector thing. i can't see 300 on stock injectors i wouldn't use the stockers past 250. yea the lt-1 makes 300 on 24's but like every1 stated it also has 2 more cylinders.

                                ok maybe 1 little sleight. maybe u are confusing a lt-1 with a l98. u could hand it to a l98.
