  • 3.4 VATS - I need info on this please...

    Hi,

I have a L32 3.4 from a '95 F-body, that I have installed on a 1972 TR6. The company that we used to by the little module from has changed ownership and now I am unable to get a module.

Does anyone know of a place where I could get a module to bypass the VATS on my L32? Any information would greatly be appreciated...

    thanks,
    joe

Sorry for the late post, but VATS is bypassed with one of 15 different resistor values (charts are everywhere online). If you haven't bypassed it already, you can try the different values until it fires up (there is a 3-4 min timer if the wrong value is used, just to let you know).

That is true if you have the VATS module which takes the resistance value from the key cylinder and converts it to a sinewave for the PCM.
So in a retrofit a module is needed or easiest to use to permenantly bypass the VATS. if yuo don't want to tray and integrate the reats of the system.
