  • Wasn't gonna post this, but...

Some there is a thread on GAGT.com that all the teeny-boppers are drooling over...

Its about a guy who swapped an L67 into a GA. Woohoo... Yeah, anyway. I know how we just love to discuss the L67s here, hence the reason I wasn't going to bring it up. But a post on page 5 made me do it....

    "The 3800 is the LS-1 of V6s"

With that, let the discussion begin!!!

Yeah, I seen that yesterday. Whoopty doo! Is what I say. I love my 660. Just because it has a stock SC doesn't make it a 'engine from the gods'

    We are the elite! :P

Oh and stupid fucking GA with the V8... Blah. Lame. Basically all they did was gut the car and trow the shell of it on a V8 chasis. If I'm wrong, i don't care! :P

I'm not going to get involved. I was keeping my mouth shut on that issue over there as well...

I agree with you 100% Brad.
I dont see the hoopla over it.. fuck if they think its insane that someone swapped one of those into a Nbody. they'd be amazed at the guys doing it with even smaller Jbodies..

        I agree.
The size of the engine bays on the newer Grand Ams are huge. Thats no fucking challenge to put different engine in it.
I have never liked the owners of newer Grand Ams, just for their not liking anyone with a older model, esp. if it can whoop there ass with no forced induction...

After seeing a blown 350 in a Triumph Spitfire last summer, that swap isn't so impressive. I used to put lawnmower engines on bicycles. Wanna impress me? Put an Allison V-16 in a GA. Hope they swapped the fire extinguisher also...

I know, isnt it great!! We've changed thier way of thinking with our subliminal "boat anchor" messages... LOL..

The JBO is another story. everyone and their dog wants the fucking engine in their 3rd gen Jbody.

Yeah I'm amazed at the negativity over there against anyone who doesnt own a 99+ Grand am.. I mentioned something in the one thread about someone's Achieva 1/4 mile time... Holy fuck look out! an Achieva even though it is an Nbody doesnt matter. "this is a Grand AM Site! NOT An Nbody site".... Led to quite the little argument.

lol, saw both... i stayed out of it over on GAGT.. but the other guy on V6 is a tool.. he got owned by curtis tho too bad i locked the thread.. we could have bashed him more..lol

after seeing that thread on GAGT, i went out and looked at mine ('04 GT) looks like it would be a hella easy swap, that's one deep engine bay with a fair ammount of room on the backside of the engine. i still don't see why he went through all that trouble for 50 or 60 more HP.. he could run a small S/C on the 3400 and get that.

Exactly. Love the way the SC looks on the 660's. I haven't got a problem with newer GA's, just most of the people on GAGT forums and GAOC, can be rude. Brads prolly going to get bashed now because he is ripping on the L67's...

Damnit! I just typed up a response, but while I was closing other windows (used during research ) I accidentally closed the wrong window and lost my reponse. Oh well...

Did you know that... the 3800, 4300 and 8100 engines are the only engines in the GM linup to still use iron heads, with the 4300 and 8100 heads being the Vortec heads?

And if you tell any of the L67 drivers that, they will get defensive and say, "What's wrong with having strong heads???"
