Well I'd take the next gen Cobra over the GTO anyday, considering it would so seriously hand the GTO it's ass...

I just don't like the look of the GTO at all, like it's been said it takes too many styling cues from other vehicles, and for a sports car it just doesnt look mean, and it has feminin lines.

The Mustang on the other hand is completely unique, the only reference styling cues are from past Mustangs.

The Mustang just has powerful styling lines, and just plain looks strong.

Oh man... I just got the new issue of Car and Driver. They did a review of the GTO. I am utterly disappointed with this thing. I can't believe they would tone down something called a GTO so much. The rear end looks terrible, and there is nothing distinguishing the front end from a Grand Prix. This looks like something that belongs in the Buick (no offense) line, it really doesn't strike me as a muscle, or even a sports, car.

Nice one GM, next time don't rush things.

I saw that Magazine on the shelf, but did not buy it. When the Mustang Concept came out in both C&D and Motortrend, I had to buy them both and at the pics

i like both. i saw somewhere the the Mustang's gauge lights can change colors too.. i guess that's kinda neat. i'll never own a Mustang though..

the GTO's lines are a little bland, but that makes it a great sleeper. my only beef with it is the true duals coming out on one side (ah-la Monaro). GM should have gone the extra mile when re-creating this car and at least put the exhaust outlets on both sides.

Personally I love the new GTO The new Mustang is ....eh... not bad, I don't really like the underbite it has up front :

I think a rebadged and slightly redesigned GTO caleed the 442 would be a good way to start an Oldsmobile renessaince (sp?) but its too late to help them
