I just like fucking with the guys at the parts counter. Even though my swap is simple it still screws them over.

I have to get them too look up a Camaro for My S-10. When I go with Lloyd we have to look up 3 or 4 cars

Ok I'll try being a ricer.
I trashed my LB8 for da L32 wid tha 2-272-H and da ZL1 rear but kept tha LB8 intake but got it choped for oneofthose LS1 tb's. I got some L36 injecters that I got from my bra. Then hooked it up wid a fat clutch fora LH7.
(I made up the ZL1, couldn't rember the zexel torsen RPO)
I don't think any thing under the hood of my car is orignal, right down the the exhaust manifolds.
            Maybe the belt pulleys.

I think you're just being a weiner about it cause no one cares about what engine you have.

Theres no other way to refer to what these engines are other then their engine code. The codes you were refering to, the majority of being nissan, they are not just random. They are easily discernable, not like their GM counterparts.

For most nissan engines the pattern is the same, like here on the SR's

              SR20DET
              SR- Engine Series
              20- 2.0 Liters
              DE- DOHC
              T - Turbo

you'll its the same with the RB's
              RB26DETT
              RB- Series
              26- 2.6 Liters
              DE- DOHC
              TT- Twin Turbo

if anyone can give an explanation for all the random 3 letter GM RPO combos, you'll win a cookie.

                  There kinda is...

                  Engine codes start with L..
                  LA1, LG0, LT1

                  Wheels I think start with Q's P's
                  Suspensions/Transmissions Start with F's
                  A is Seating and Windows
B is options (like Deluxe packages and such)
                  D - E is more Options
                  J is Braking Systems
                  K is Alternators/Ignition
                  M is Transmissions
                  N is Emissions/Wheels
                  T is Lighting
                  V- Exterior/Bumpers
                  W, Y, Z are Speical Options

Numbers are mostly Color Codes (Interior/Exterior)

                    DE- DOHC
                    TT- Twin Turbo
Or as a human being would say "2.6DOHC twin turbo"

                    SR- Engine Series
                    20- 2.0 Liters

well, you cann't just say the liter and the cam position, theres just to many nissan engines w/ similar displacements for instance, the FJ20 is also 2 liters, but theres a huge differance between an FJ, and an SR engine. Much like theres a differance between and LS1, and an LT1, which brings me back on point. That, and I just don't see how its being a "ricer"(that term is so 4 years ago anyway) when GM guys probally do it more anyway, ecspecially the V8 platforms guys.

Yeah, or you can just not differentiate from the past...and just reuse the same 3 number/letter code as a previous engine. I dunno how its "ricer" when its the maker of the engine giving it that designation.

I think partially random. It's easier to tell certain things apart.
