I can imagin it would have controllability issues, for instance the bicycle style speed change thingy, I can just see the chain fly off the endbell.
The rear suspension doesn't appear to articulate with the engine, a big nono when it comes to using a straight drive shaft. I would have put the engine and drive train on a separate pod and use a formula type style suspension that way the endbell is always alined with the sprokets on the axle. You know those Tyco RC that when you press it down the whole rear pod acts like part of the suspension.
