40 psi?! I don't see any intercooler..did I miss something, or is that intake plumbing just for the show?

If it runs mathanol, it doesn't need an intercooler.
That may be a air/water IC in the plenum... notice the hose connections and quick disconnect.

It's the high feature V6, not the high value V6. The high value V6 is the 60 degree we all know and love.
This is a completely different beast.

They've done that with the Ecotec, they've done it with the new V6... if only they'd do that with the Northstar!!!
                        Current:

\'88 Fiero Formula: slow and attention getting; LZ8 followed by LLT power forthcoming
\'88 BMW 325iX: The penultimate driving machine awaiting a heart transplant

                        Gone, mostly forgotten:

My buddy and i were just thinking the same thing.

Its the 3.6L CTS /Buick rendezvoius, Holden "AlloyTec" engine that this is based on. the 3.6L DOHC.

Yeah, that is the global V6. The high value are the 3500 and 3900 motors. Northstar with that kind of attention would be even crazier. What did GM get out of the ecotec? I know the ecotec guys love to point at it and say "thats what my motor can do" even though it probably cost 100k in custom work and research on the damn thing. Same with this monster.
