Well one thing is for sure. As long as bush is still there he will still continue to fuck up the US economy. Hence the Canadian dollar will continue to go up, up, up. Let's see, the last time the Canadian dollar was higher than the states, bush senior was just coming out of power. I think that dubbya can be at least as useless as his dad, and drive that shit right into the ground.

If the US isn't going to buy our beef, grain or lumber. We might as well get ours from exploiting the US dollar.

It is completely unfair for the rest of us. If chicago were in it's own state, Illinois would actually get what it needs instead of what one city wants.
But then Chicago state (ROFL) would have like 15 electoral votes, whereas Illinois would have....3?

The presedential stuff would suck, but at least within the state gov't it would be a lot better. Even if you think about it though, that would be three electoral votes that could go the opposite way of 15 instead of all 18 going one way.

And you know that every job they get fired form, every economic hardship they encounter, every car crash they get into, and every wife that cheats on them-it will all be Bush's fault. The world would be so perfect with kerry........

You guys are WAY too patriotic. No bush voter has yet to say bush is a terrible president (which he obviously is). You guys have it rough down there with only two choices, I know. But, OK Kerry wasn't a much better choice, that I agree with, so you voted bush. But damn, just cause you voted for him doesn't mean you have to suck his dick. But you guys are defending him, acting like he didn't lie, or isn't a poor leader, or a war monger, etc, etc. (come-on you can't ignore the facts) Why turn a blind eye, just cause you think he is a better choice. You guys sound like idiots condoning the shit he has done/is doing.

I just think about how my friends/co-workers and I are with our elections. We vote for who we think will do the best job (or the least worst). But If we don't trust them (and why should we?) we don't lie to our selves and start bobbin' nob.

With politics it's always the lesser of the evils.

If you didn't vote, you should not be voicing your opinion on EITHER candidate much less the President. If you feel so strongly about all this, why didn't you get off your ass and vote? Guess what, it's YOU the people that choose your President--not the ones sitting on the Internet bitching all day about it...

Why didn't I vote? I've said before that I could care less. I just support Bush. And besides, when you know 100% that your state is Republican, it that 1 more vote going to make a difference. You can argue all day on that one... And why are you harping on me? If there is anyone you should be harping on, it should be the Canadians. They have no say whatsoever, yet they have been the most outspoken group of people (on this forum) about the election.

Was president the only race on your ballot? Your local leaders, congressmen, and senators actually have a more profound impact on your everyday life than the president ever will. I could care less who's president too, I vote for the other offices up for grabs. And if you pooled your one vote that doesn't count with all the other one votes that don't count, they add up to a lot of votes that do count. And I agree about the Canadians. Worry about what goes on up there, and just be glad you have a neighbor like us, who would do just about anything to help you out if you needed us. Hell, we help the people who HATE us.

What? I always thought Canada was more Socialist than the US. Of course, I don't know much about Canada's political issues (hence I don't complain about their elections), so please enlighten me about the country's Libertarian tendencies.

"Let me put it to you this way: If there was one person uniquely involved in the political process, that might be troubling," (Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell) said. "But there's no one that hasn't used every legitimate avenue and bit of leverage that they could legally use to get their product looked at. Believe me, if there is a political lever to be pulled, all of them have pulled it." Its asinine to infer that since employees exercise their legal rights that their companies MUST be breaking the law.

Oh goody! Facts! Why don't you share these 'facts'? Please respond, because I can't wait to crush whiny idiots who didn't vote. Oh, thats right, you CAN'T vote.

FYI: I'm a registered Democrat who voted Republican for the first time and I can't believe I'm agreeing with Aaron.

bszopi its not going to be 4 years. You will have to listen to the whining for the next 30-40 years because the president that you support will be making at least 3 Supreme Court appointments. Those people have the ultimate say so in our world. That court is going to go extremely conservative which cant be good for the folks who haunt this place. When oil reserves really start dwindling its going to be the Bush judges who decide your fate as related to the constitution. Amongst other important decisions. Man how the hell did we get into politics here anyway? My LQ 1 started tapping(loudly) yesterday so I gota find out WTF is going on there.
