Wow... So does anyone pay attention to the stock market? Well, maybe you should. Oil prices fell to ~$49/barrel today, the first time in over a month that they were below $50. This is the second day in a row for oil prices to fall. And the stock market is surging at the same time. It closed today at its highest level in over 6 months. We've already seen drops in gas prices here.... Prior to the election, we were sitting at $1.99/gal, and yesterday it was $1.89/gal. Not too shabby...

Luckilly Im in a position to absorb these increases. Its the people making minimum wage living in poverty I feel for. Especially the children. Their parents have the option of either putting 5 bucks in the tank or saving up the $70 to take the kid to the doctor for an ear ache.
not that bush or any president is responsible for any of that.

People should pay more attention to congress, i think. they're the ones with the purse strings, not the president.

I could care less about his personal life as long as he helps the country out. BTW another reason I voted for Kerry is that I didnt want a conservative having a shot at seating 3 Supreme Court judges. I thought having a liberal doing the appointing would balance the court back out the way it should be. Evenly split. Those folks have a whole bunch of power and fresh appointees will affect our lives until we reach retirement and beyond.
I'm pessimistic enough to think that the country would vote Jeb Bush into office next.

I guess where I was going with the Clinton shit was that he seemed to bring Republicans and Dems together better than any recent pres. Reagan and Bush senior may have tried but didnt seem to succeed very well. Bush jr PROMISSED in 2000 he would be the great uniter. And I believe that didnt happen. Oh well hes got 4 more years to try again I guess.
