Doesn't matter much now, but WI voted for Kerry. I didn't care so much about that as the fact that we voted Russ Fiengold back in...... What the heck were we thinking???

Kerry just conceded. Another four years of Bush. Just tack on 4 more years of rubber stamping what congress sends to his desk(Bush never vetoed a bill that hit his desk in four years). Now we can start over again I guess. Since Clinton left I have not seen a candidate I would support(Gore Kerry Bush). It is time for major changes in the election process and we do not have a president to lead us thru such a procedure since he seems to be a rubber stamp president. But hell what have I got to bitch about. Ive got $2 gas $3.50 milk $3.50 bacon property taxesup 20% over 4 years cost me $150 more to heat my house/month since Bush was "elected". Luckilly Im in a position to absorb these increases. Its the people making minimum wage living in poverty I feel for. Especially the children. Their parents have the option of either putting 5 bucks in the tank or saving up the $70 to take the kid to the doctor for an ear ache.

Yes, something needs to be done about the economy, but should that be increases in wages or new plans for healthcare, energy/fuel assistance, or some other program like that? I wish I had the answers, but I don't. For being the richest nation in the world, we sure do have a large poverty rate.

Oh, and I was just like to say, HEY MICHAEL MOORE!!!!!

Even though Bush can Veto doesn't mean that a bill dies it still can be passed even with veto. Bush however never really increased tax base, but here is the kicker...Standard of living is up in the past 4 years, cost for every day things has followed the trend of increased fuel/energy cost and guess what the burden has been, like it always has been, handed down to the lower income based people people. The tax revenue has doubled in the past 4 years without increasing the tax base, how???The increase of living cost throughout has increased tax revenues for local, state and federal governments.

Inflation has dropped the value of the dollar in half in the last decade, even if the dollar has shown strength world wide.

This ongoing trend will only make a split in income brackets in the middle class where as the top middle class will separate from the lower middle class where this will form a new poverty level. If this vicious cycle continues cost for anything will eventually be so high that you would have to make 20 dollars an hour just to survive, no companies will yield a good heath care package, and so on.

Personally I just don't see how a single person can make it on there own making 10 dollars an hour now, because I can bearly make ends meet with two incomes coming in.

I am not ashamed to say that for the first time in my life I am now on Federal and State assistance, my cushion is gone, my investments turned over to pay debts, some loan balances are in deferment, so yeah if I was asked if I am worse off now than I was before bush I would say YES, but I still am above water and have never filed for bankruptcy, thanks to all the taxpayers otherwise I would be on the street for the second time in my life.

Yes, George Bush won. And here is my opinion as to why John Kerry lost. When you associate yourself with liars, people will view you as such. i.e. Who did John Kerry choose to campaign for him? Bill Clinton, a known liar in office, now a celebrity for it. And what state is John Kerry from? Massachusetts, and we all know who is the distinguished senator from Mass., that's right Edward "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy. (And a drunk also) Reported by several sources was the after election poll. The most important issue in this election was.....Not the War or the Economy! It was........Moral Values. Go figure... The way I see it, at least 50% of the country feel that it is not Bush Bullshit. Myself included.

I guess the important thing here is that life goes on even after an election. Just think in the next elections we will have at least 2 to choose from. And damn I hope its somebody like Clinton. You can call him all you want but you gotta admit things went pretty well under him(with the exception of NAFTA). I could care less about his personal life as long as he helps the country out. BTW another reason I voted for Kerry is that I didnt want a conservative having a shot at seating 3 Supreme Court judges. I thought having a liberal doing the appointing would balance the court back out the way it should be. Evenly split. Those folks have a whole bunch of power and fresh appointees will affect our lives until we reach retirement and beyond.
