Fel-Pro Intake Gaskets worth $100?

Went to buy intake gaskts for my girlfriends 1995 3100 (first design stamped rockers)

The going price for Felpro gaskets is $140 with my discount I get them for $100. Is this worth the cost for just a Fel-Pro gasket? When I put 3400 gaskets on my friends car I think they were $89 list from GM. Shouldn't Fel-Pro be a hell of alot cheeper?

I got the whole upper set of gaskets, heads, intake, egr, valve cover gromets, push rod guides, exhaust, sealer, etc... kit by felpro for 179. I would use felpro.

What PN did you try to get? And what exactly are you looking at for the "intake"? From the lower/head up?

I recently did the upper and lower ITM gaskets on my girlfriends 1998, 3100. I used FELPRO and the set cost me $79.00 retail if I remember correctly. I purchased them at Partsource here in Edmonton. You have to watch with FELPRO, it seems that some parts stores like to really soak people on them. They really are not expensive at all, and from what I have experienced are always cheaper than GM.

You guys must have a Partsource out in Surrey, I would try there.

No we dont have Parts source.

I got the Lower and Upper set with an EGR gastet all in one box. That was $100 worth. Ohwell its already done. I just though it was a little rich.

It was, but you only over paid by 15-20 bucks. So don't feel too bad.

ya I paid 79 for felpro's at partsource. but it didn't have hte metal inserts in the LIM gasket like the new GM ones do.

gm added metal tabs around the coolant passages. This pretty much takes care of the coolant leaks inherent with the original style gaskets
