Most wet cell batteries last an average of 4 years, in good working order.

I had my 1st Red top last about 9 or 10 years, through multiple vehicles, multiple accidental shortings with wrenches, draining, boosting, etc. The only reason I ended up replacing it, was because it would rest at 9 volts, and would have just enough jam to start my truck, winter was coming, so I decided it was best to replace it before winter and not get stranded.
