GM also tested out a Z50... 5.0 V8 Lumina with AWD.... on the euro 4 door body style.
I think GM is like monster garage, only instead of getting 98,000,000 worth of "freebies" that don't factor into the final build cost, they get press coverage and get to have 1 of their quotes in a car magazine.
I believe 281 at the crank... i can definately see that. when you look at all the useless garbage on there that could be so much better.2001 Mustang GT

1947 4spd International - Dead... Reincarnation pending.. getting close now .

Aaron...
I dunno if yer red car is an auto, but I recently saw a 3100 with a "locked up" engine, where it turned out to be the front pump in the transmission that was locked up, and not the engine..
just a thought (maybe a glimmer of hope)

Yah a simple spun bearing. That is what happened to my white car.
1)the motor in the white car still ran and didn't have a noticable drop in power(I never ran it above 3k though)
2)the new motor, pretty much a stock rebuild with good parts, was $3000. And it needed a new crank cuz I drove it with the bearing bad
I wish, but I do not think that is it. I just hope that it cna still be rebuilt, not matter what it is.

News.
Well i found a place online called Stainless works that will laser cut the flanegs for me. Get this, $15 a piece!!!. I was psyched when he told me the price. Only set back is I have to send him my throttle bodies. But he says its better that way. It is much more precise, and he said the throttle bodies and flange will look like one piece when bolted together. Also he is in the states, Ohio, so shipping will be faster and easier.
I asked him how much his laser cutter costed, and he said more than your $30 flanges
Sorry again to Chris, but this guys is like way cheaper, and probably faster. As far as the quality of the product, I will compare them when I get back to CO.
