  • The Great Debate!

Time to start the fire. Did you watch? Who won? This is an opinion post...I am voting for GWB, at least he has a direction. John Kerry seems to say what you want to hear, even if it changes from day to day. If public opinion says, "Let's blow up the Moon", then I feel John Kerry would get a cheese knife out. You can't talk a Mosquito out of biting you. You have to slap it. That is my opinion....

After watching the Highlights again, John Kerry actually came off pretty good. I just wish he would quit trying to impress everyone with his Service record, bringing it up in every other sentence. He acts like he was the only one there! If being in Viet-Nam can get you the elected, I know a lot of Bikers that should join the race. (Can you tell that I just don't care for the man?) Go George!!

one of the most die hard right wingers even said that he thought bush looked like a fool, shit AOL users are even saying that kerry won

personally i am not a kerry supporter, however i will most likely vote for him, jsut to get bush outta there, i would prefer someone that flip flops on the war in iraq to someone that thinks that it is a good idea..... WE SHOULD NOT BE IN IRAQ

i thought it was funny shit...

the best was on NBC they had the split screen so you could see what each was thinking as the other was talking.... quite a few puzzled looks on Bushy's face..

im not a fan of either idiot. but Kerry did win that debate... however he did have some wrong facts and statements. Bush as well. Kerry called Bush on one of his wrong facts.. that was good.

not from the same debate last night but a good vid clip of a Bushism's:

Kerry is not my first choice. Bush is further down the list than Reagan. However I am leaning towards Kerry because he seems to lean towards labor issues more favorably than Bush who doesnt seem to even understand that working people exist. Alls his 'tax' cut did for me is pay part of my "taxes". I beleive I paid more than his "tax" cut in higher gas, energy, food, (enertainment prices (this is an open subject cause gas price effects so much))prices over the last couple of years. I know these prices were not directly Bushs fault but he for sure has not created a favorable enviorment for competive marketing.

I would like to hear someone comment on Kerry's plan to increase the minimum wage. That surely won't increase inflation.

I will comment. Do you know anyone trying to survive on minium wage? It doesnt work. I just paid $40 to put gas in my truck. Those people have got to be hurting.

So Kerry will just pull everyone out of Iraq right when he takes office???

If the minimum wage is raised, inflation will make it seem like it hasn't been. So those who are hurting now will still be hurting then. What will the price of gas and milk go to with a higher inflation??? Something needs to be done to help those that are less fortunate, but I don't think raising minimum wage is the answer.

Yeah, raising the minimum wage would be stupid. Just ask all those kids who don't get to be raised by their parents because they have to have 2 jobs each just to make ends meet. And as far as raising the minimum wage having an effect on inflation, blame that on the big wigs who can't give up there double percentage point raises and stock options to pay the men and women who make there businesses what they are. And as far as sending the people who vote for dubya to Iraq to fight for us, you have no idea what they have done in the past to serve this country, so do not judge them.
