  • New 2 boards sayin Hi

At the request of Carlton (with the A body), I am stepping out of lurk mode and saying Hola. To tell a little about myself, I have owned 1 A body (an '86 6k STE that was chopped into pieces for another car), 3 X bodies (a 80 pont phoenix*rip*, a 81 Citation X-11, and a 84 Chev. Citation X-11 STE *only one in the world*). Both X-11's are still with me and both have proven to be troopers. The 84 is in Florida awaiting completion and I just brought the 81 from Oregon to Ohio. It was sitting for 2 years before I got it with 200k on the clock then all I did was put tires, batt, plugs and changed the oil on 'im and took off cross country where he ran like a fresh champ. Of course, after getting it in Ohio it munched the tranny, so there it sits, waiting on me to buy another X-11 (an 84) that comes with a spare motor and tranny.
Anyways time to turn some more wrench,
    Jeremiah
Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance

Welcome to the board Jeramiah. I have followed your STE build-up over on the Citation group for a while now. Can't wait to see it completed.

          Hey Marty,
Glad to see I'm not the only X'er here (right carl?). Tell ya what, you can keep flipping the coins (token) and I'll keep puffin the joints (tokin), deal? I cant wait to finish the STE project myself but it has been put on hold for awhile since I got the black beast and am in Ohio. But keep your eyes on the group as I will be posting some pics that I recently got developed from when the STE project first started taking shape (theres even a pic of the 6k before it met its sawzall death).
          Peace,
          Jeremiah

Glad to see carl is of use around here:P hehe, just playin Welcome to the board! Are you going to drop an 84 2.8 into your citation, or upgrade to the better crank used in 85+? Just curious..maybe a 3400 swap instead...and some boost, and nitrous.

So our X body membership just what, doubled? hahaha, have fun on here, and take care of those X-11s, the only X body I personally don't think is too ugly to be seen in.

Oh, and good luck getting carl to pass that j, he has been tokin on it since he got here.

              Hey Sappy,
Thanks. Which X are you talking about? I now have 3.
The 81 (the black beast) is going to be my "old skool cool" muscle car. Raw and raunchy. The only "upgrades" being planned for it will be the addition of a 4bbl carb, intake, maybe headers, and thrush outsiders (if I can even find them!) and ICE. And your basic restoration (body and interior work).
The WHITE 84 is to be my modern, built from the ground up "tuner" tricked out wild child. I have only 1 rule with regards to building this car: there is to be nothing left stock when its done!!!! Motor: 2.8MPFI from an 86 6k STE to be bored an stroked to a 3.1 or 3.2 (while keeping the 2.8 badging and intake, a nice lil cheat hehehehehe), dished pistons (to lower the comp. ratio to 8.5:1), double head gaskets, full p&p, custom exhaust logs, T3 turbocharger (tuned to push almost 1.5 bar), divorced wastegate, mandrel bent dual exhaust, mandrel bent aluminum coolant pipes w/ colored silicone hose connectors, custom airbox and intercooler featuring a true ram air system (less than 18" total intake piping length), no nitrous but instead achohol/ water injection. Projected hp: around 350. Tranny: custom built 440t4H, valve body kit for firmer 1-2 shifts, converted to be totally divorced from ECM. Suspension: 4 corner air suspenion, independantly adjustable, front struts custom made. Brakes: 11" 4 wheel discs. Wheels: 16" Enkie 7+'s lighted from the inside. Tires: 215/45ZR16 fronts and 225/50ZR16 rears for the muscle car look. Interior: Full digital dash w/ DIC <ask>, seats 10 way power custom restiched to resemble the '87 Celeb. Eurosport VR, custom ICE all around. Body: numerous mods, add sunroof, add STE taillights, modify and add a corvette L88 hood scoop, custom billet grill, I may or may not custom make a body kit patterned after the VR, and custom paint and graphics. WWHHEEWW!! sorry for the length of above. I am sure I am leaving something out but I cant think of it right now.
The silver/grey/ green color shifting '84 has already been modified with dual exhaust and 5 speed tranny. After replacing the 2.8 carb'd engine, I plan on selling it. Any takers here?
Yea, I guess it did! lol!
Yea, I know, Carl is a damn bogart!!!! Bastard!! LOL! j/k. Oh, well, I got plenty to roll another.
