  • Personal Victories

Y'all know what a personal victory is? Like finding a quarter in a pop machine? or getting flashed by a sharp blonde getting out of her car? Today, I had one! (Not the Blonde, ) Took the wiring harnesses to cncguy. We gabbed a little and he showed me the Machine. He asked if I wanted to go for a ride! (Of course I said "no" ) I have been humbled! !!!When you come to Dayton, there are 3 things you need to do here. See the Air Force Museum, go to the Oregon District, and go see cncguy! The 3 wheeler is NICE!! And the ride was a personal victory! It will take the curl out of your hair! Thanx Marc!!

Its not fast enough yet.... will be better when I get the 3400 finished and put in. Got the cam in the mail today from Brad and hoping to hit 200+ hp with the new motor (fingers crossed). It should be a step up from the 3100 with 185,000 miles on it.

You should talk to GPSE3400 or MPFI3100 about their cam grinds. I need to get the details and put them on the site, cause that cam grind with the right pushrods and springs makes the motor scream! They dont even have ported heads and intakes, just 62mm TBs. MPFI has headers on his 3100. 7000 RPM is no problem, though I think 6500 is safe for shift points and still making power...need a dyno graph to make sure. Tuning is very very important though. Oh and they have high compression, so if you aren't boosting it, check out the iron head pistons to get the compression over 12:1. Tuned, you can probably run cheap gas...the non header 3400 needs midgrade though..but you have some awesome headers. Tuned for all out power you would probably need premium but im not sure if you care about a few hp for the gas hike (i doubt you drive that 3 wheeler much though as well).

                        LS6 springs are good too.

                          OK, I'm officially jealous.

And I'd agree to the next meet being in Dayton, if not the southern appalachians... just 'cause I want a ride in that rocketsled. :P

Ben: I was planning on using the stock shortblock for now until I have the funds to do one right with forged pistons, h-beam rods and some crank work. When I can get a decent shortblock together, the plan is going to an intercooled twin turbo set-up. Mild porting and LS6 springs are planned for this time as well as some tuning from you. You are right, I dont drive it as much as a normal car.

Aaron: There arent any pics of me on my site. The red-headed guy is my nephew. The older guy in the pics on my website is a friend of mine... retired Marine pilot who recently turned 80. Hes a great guy with lots of cool stories from his life. Im old but not that old.
