well my first street race took place last night. i raced a chevelle with a built 350. that car was pretty quick. it murdered me off the line. but i quickly caught him and beet him by three car lengths. we raced on a mile long road. my car reved out but he still couldn't catch up. not bad for completely stock if i do say so myself.

So you're trying to tell me that you beat a Chevelle with a built 350. Was he going in reverse? Or were you the only one really racing... I used to have a Chevelle with a lightly built SB400 and I guarantee that no V6 could beat me, even in a mile.
And besides... who races a mile anyways?-Brad-

street race
it's no lie. the engine has been LIGHTLY built. i don't know what's been done to it but my brothers 04 civic has also beet that car. the reason we raced a mile is because where i work there is a mile long road that leads from the road to the employee parking lot. and i would put $1000 on anyone that thinks i'm a fuckin liar! the car has something wrong with it anyways. and i did get $20 bucks from him. you know i didn't post this to get called a fuckin liar.

Ok, so you beat a car that has a built 350, but is broke in some way. Anf you call that an accomplishment? Hell, I could be a pro stock car if it was broke!!
Oh yeah, and street racing is for morons. And I don't care how isolated of a road you are on and how safe you are being, its still stupid and illegal.-Brad-

street race
i just talked to the kid and he says there is nothin wrong with his car. the motor was built 6 years ago and is tired. and just for the record i do go to the track often but i don't race my car cuz i havn't had time to fix here up yet. and that is the first time i ever raced like that. and i don't plan on doing it again.

Maybe it has some lame ass gears behind the motor. I dunno, but a chevelle running 15s or worse isn't exactly impressive, especially if the motor has work done on it. Those motors usually take to mods very well. 6 years is bad if its a track only car that races all season. Hard to say but its not impressive no matter how you look at it (from the chevelle's point of view).Ben

sreet race
he has the origional 4-speed auto behind that motor. granted it was a fluke because of a tranny. but i still won. oh yea i forgot to mention that i also dropped all of my forward gears in the process. my car is in no way the fastest car on the site. by no means. i was just suprised by the outcome. and i thought i would share the info with yall. oh and for the record my car runs 18's in the quarter mile. my brothers civic runs high 12's.

I was driving down the bypass the other day, doing about 120 in my Isuzu, when this dude in a '04 Mustang Cobra pulled up and wanted to race, so I dropped it into second gear and FLOORED it! He pulled away at first, but then around 180, I caught him and blew his doors in! Oh yeah, he had three flats and was running on 5 cylinders.
